There are many activities you can do during a 3-day stay in Florence .
You can start by walking through the streets of its wonderful historic centre, visiting its famous museums, fascinating art galleries, churches and monuments.
You can sit at the table in one of the many delicious restaurants in the city, but not before making some tasty purchases in the most prestigious boutiques .
I have visited Florence several times and have always been fascinated by it. I love walking through the streets of the historic center, browsing through the buildings, discovering characteristic corners.
If you are planning a trip to this splendid city and want to get to know it better, here are some tips on what to do and which places to visit in Florence in 3 days.

Piazzale Michelangelo
To start your visit to Florence with the right welcome, as always, you must start from Piazzale Michelangelo .
It is considered the most beautiful panoramic point of the city, and offers a wonderful free postcard to the millions of tourists who visit Florence every year
From up there you can admire the entire historic center. Some of the most impressive and well-known monuments immediately catch your eye, such as the imposing dome of the Duomo, Palazzo Vecchio, Santa Maria del Fiore and, of course, the Arno river flowing below.
I love going up to the square at sunset, when the buildings and streets of the center begin to light up, surrounded by many romantic and colorful shades. The show is guaranteed, with all the unmistakable and unique charm of the Tuscan capital right in front of you. Truly unmissable.
Take advantage of this magical atmosphere to stay in the area a little longer, with an aperitif or a nice dinner at the La Loggia restaurant . It's located right across the plaza, and it's truly stunning.
The menu includes creative and revisited Tuscan cuisine, served in a nineteenth-century building with a splendid terrace.
You can reach Piazzale Michelangelo comfortably by car, by taxi or on board a tourist bus which allows you to admire the beauties of Florence from the comfort of your seat.
If, however, you want to go up on foot, I recommend you reach the square passing through the splendid Rose Garden . A small naturalistic treasure known for its fragrant floral terraces. A pleasant walk among the rose gardens of this garden is a multi-sensory experience, which I recommend especially during the spring months.
You can also add the nearby Abbey of San Miniato al Monte to your visit, to admire its fabulous Romanesque façade and fascinating medieval interiors. The church is located on the hill just above the square, and offers another interesting panoramic view of Florence.

Florence and the historic center
A good idea is to book one of the many private and exclusive tours of Florence. Accompanied by expert guides, aboard a taxi or a vintage car, you will be able to admire the most important attractions and discover the history and most interesting curiosities of the city. Of course, it is possible to customize the tour to your liking, if you want to delve deeper and visit some places rather than others.
Every time I visit Florence I can't help but carve out two hours in the Uffizi and Accademia galleries. I have visited them many times but every time it is as if it were the first. The incredible emotion you feel when admiring extraordinary works such as Michelangelo's David or Botticelli's Venus represents one of the many magnificent gifts that the city of Florence is ready to give you.
A very particular place that few people know about and that I recommend you include in your visit is Palazzo Davanzati . It is a typical Florentine aristocratic residence from the 1500s, where it is possible to delve into the stories and customs of the noble families of the time.
And to make your tour of the historic center even more unique, I suggest you book a table at the Enoteca Pinchiorri , in via Ghibellina. In this 3 Michelin star restaurant you can choose from over 400 labels of fine and unique wines on the menu and taste dishes with the highest quality products.
If you are looking for a particular structure to stay in, I have the one for you: I'm talking about Palazzo Niccolini al Duomo . A period residence, a historic noble palace, located in a small side street of Piazza Duomo, precisely in via dei Servi.
Its rooms, all different and very elegant, are full of fine finishes. Upon entering you will immediately be enveloped by an ancient and regal atmosphere, where however there is no shortage of contemporary nuances and modern comforts. A truly exclusive structure, for an unforgettable stay.
In case you need to arrive before the scheduled check-in time, feel free to leave your comfortable and stylish travel bags at the luggage storage, so you can start exploring the city and enjoy its infinite beauties straight away.

Via de' Tornabuoni, between art and fashion
Visiting Florence also means getting lost among the splendid streets of the historic center. Where to breathe the true soul of the city, in all its ancient and modern facets.
Some of these streets are real style catwalks, full of shops with the most famous national and international brands. One of the most famous is via De' Tornabuoni , undoubtedly the most elegant street in Florence, which hosts important luxury brands.
Between one purchase and another, I invite you to admire the beauty of this street, which offers attractions that really deserve to be explored further. One of these is Palazzo Strozzi , located on the corner of Via degli Strozzi, it is a Renaissance palace that hosts permanent exhibitions on the history of the building, as well as temporary art exhibitions. In my opinion one of the most beautiful and interesting buildings in all of Florence.
A city with a relatively small historic centre, but with enormous charm. A beautiful city, where you can spend a pleasant weekend, among art, culture and shopping.
And before finishing your shopping trip, remember to visit the Florentine My Style Bags store, in Via Borgo S.Jacopo , where you can admire the delightful new collection of travel bags.
The shop is located a few steps from the famous Ponte Vecchio. An iconic place, where taking a photo is almost mandatory.
Florence, cradle of the Italian Renaissance, has always been considered one of the most beautiful cities in the world. So wonderful that it makes you want to visit it again and again. It never gets boring.
